Dr. Gabriel Krenitsky was initially attracted to hair restoration because he found it to be medically fascinating, as well as an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Prior to seeking formal training in hair restoration surgery, Dr. Krenitsky had a variety of unique clinical experiences. These included time as a stadium physician with the Cleveland Browns, a flight physician for Metro Life Flight and as an emergency physician in Columbus.
Dr. Krenitsky completed a 12-month Hair Transplantation Fellowship with MHR in the practice's New York Central Park surgery center. "I was fortunate to have trained at the best fellowship program in the world for hair restoration surgery," he said. "Having performed or assisted with hundreds of procedures during the fellowship, I was able to obtain the equivalent of four or five years of experience in an average hair transplant clinic."
Following his fellowship, he was offered the opportunity to stay with the practice, which he accepted. He elected to return to his native state, Ohio, home to both his family and alma matter, Ohio State University.
He finds hair restoration surgery requires understanding, patience and a detail-oriented approach. "In hair restoration, the patient is trusting you with his or her appearance. It is important to value that trust and empathize with them," he said. "I truly care about the quality of my work and the satisfaction of my patients."
Dr. Krenitsky works hard to make the day of surgery a positive experience for each patient. "Surgery day is a good day with a relaxed atmosphere. The end result is a positive change for the rest of a patient's life."
Dr. Krenitsky has received great satisfaction from working with burn victims and being able to help them with their appearance and self-confidence through hair transplantation.
"I enjoy being able to create a new appearance for someone," said Dr. Krenitsky. "The most rewarding feeling for me, as a doctor, is meeting patients at follow-up visits and seeing how happy they are with their result.
